Buildings and places in (City Hall) area, associated with the Rising of Easter Week 1916.

Both buildings on corner of street on left Parliament St. were occupied by attacking Force. The first one is the Evening mail office; the other Tarlo's was at that time Messrs. Henry and James, Clothiers. Besides being part of the attacking force they also acted as defenders to the rere of main attacking. The Mail office commands Dame St. as far as Trinity College. Henry and James commanded Lord Edward St. to Christchurch Cethedral. Portion of building on right 13 City Hall.
